Accu-Reading 3.1

Accu-Reading provides short non-fiction selections designed to improve specific reading skills: main idea, vocabulary, sequence, factual recall, inference, and drawing conclusions. This easy-to-use software motivates students to sharpen their reading comprehension and provides teachers with measurable results. After an assessment, students work on specific skills or learn in a mixed practice format that includes crossword puzzles and two-answer questions. They receive help and contextual feedback. Students are able to track their progress and print results. Student scores are kept in a management system that allows teachers to view and print reports. Designed for students in U.S. grades 5 through 11 (age 10 and up). The program can be used as well by advanced intermediate ESL and adult students.

Improved installation and starting procedures for users. This version also reflects the change of the publishers name to Merit Software from Merit Audio Visual. In addition, this version is does not contain adware.
